We know that in the hair replacement industry experience is everything! William Collier is a Seattle icon in the hair design community, having been cutting and designing hair for 50+ years and providing hair replacement in Seattle for over 35 years.

Our team of experts consists of hair replacement consultants, hair designers, hair replacement technicians, and a salon manager, with a combined total of over 100 years of experience!

William Collier Design specializes in hair replacement options, including custom partial hairpieces or full head wigs, giving our clients the benefit of choosing all aspects of the design, including custom coloring and cutting.

We also provide pre-made human hair and synthetic wigs, top of the head hair additions, clip-in extensions, and specialty cutting for thinning hair.

William Collier Design provides informed choices for men, women, and children who require hair replacement for any reason, including all forms of alopecia, male and female pattern hair loss, chemotherapy, scalp burns and abrasions, trichotillomania, and religious and cultural beliefs. William Collier Design is a transgender friendly salon.

Consultation

Our main salon has been located in Belltown, outside the congestion of downtown Seattle, for over 26 years. More recently, we've also added a satellite location in Bellevue.

Both offer consultations, though initial consultations, and some services are limited to Seattle. After making an appointment for a consultation, you will receive a confirmation email or text message with two follow-up reminders, including free parking information for Seattle.

During the consultation, we intend to educate, answer questions, and provide professional advice. The consultation costs $50 and will be applied to the purchase of any hair system and requires approximately 1 hour.

Note that our Belltown salon is located on the 2nd floor of a two-story, historic building; therefore, this location is NOT wheelchair accessible. Please inquire about access.

What to Expect

Our consultation appointments are held in a private, confidential environment. The goal of this appointment is to provide our clients with the most up-to-date information available, enabling them to make an informed decision about their hair loss.

Our staff of trained professionals are committed to excellence and adheres to the highest standards in the industry. We realize the personal nature of this service, which includes ongoing dialogue, maintenance, and support. Our services include all aspects of hair replacement and all maintenance needs.

Our process begins with a free consultation

A leader in the field

William Collier began his career in 1968 as an innovative part of one of Seattle’s most prestigious salons. This position allowed contact with a well-traveled clientele, which inspired the pursuit of additional training in Europe and Britain.

The desire for innovation and creativity spawned the opening of Salon 1500 in 1970. Industry leaders, including Gene Juarez, soon joined him. At this time, William and Gene traveled together, training at one of London’s most creative and prestigious training centers while enjoying the exciting fashion districts of London and Paris.

But William soon discovered the fulfillment that came from helping people with hair loss and thinning hair.
